Beautiful Imperfection

Disclosure: This post was sponsored by AVEENO® through their partnership with POPSUGAR Select. While I was compensated to write a post about AVEENO®, all opinions are my own.

Dude, we are busy!  Make that word “busy” with two syllables because that’s how jam-packed our lives are.  I know it.  We are so busy that even our note-taking app is tired.  I get it.  Make “get” three syllables just for emphasis.

I feel so connected with you gals out there because I know so many of you out there are just like me….filling all our different hats that we are so proud to wear….wife, mom, sister, daughter, friend….working hard and trying to make a difference.  As a blogger, I have the best job in the world…I get to try to make things more beautiful….making my home more of my safe haven, taking photos of my kids lives, even telling little jokes to make plumbing a little more palatable….I get to craft and create and cook and play and so much more every day…with a sledgehammer in one hand and a sippy cup in the other!  But I am not the only one out there with a multi-faceted life.  I know you have it going on too.

But even though I like to get covered in concrete dust one day and get my hands dirty with my boys, it doesn’t mean I am unaware of certain things.  I am getting older.  I need to take care of myself a little more.  I need to do more for myself at times.

When AVEENO® contacted me to talk about their DAILY MOISTURIZING LOTION, I was totally on board to try it out.  I am a big fan of AVEENO® products.  Jeremy’s stepmom got me hooked when she put some AVEENO® products in their guest bathroom.

In fact, my daily facial care regime already included their POSITIVELY RADIANT ® SKIN BRIGHTENING DAILY SCRUB and their eye brightening cream.  I usually wash my face at night with face wash (I’m not picky…just as long as it takes off eyeliner I am sold) and then alternate between the POSITIVELY RADIANT® and the scrub brush to exfoliate.  Then I apply my squalane oil and eye brightening cream and call it a night.

But ever since I discovered I was pregnant, I have been struggling with that dehydrated feeling.  I drink more water now than ever but I still feel dry all over.

So I tried out their DAILY MOISTURIZING SHEER HYDRATION LOTION after my shower and at night when my feet are super swollen and tired and my skin drinks it up like a camel in the dessert.  I like it because it’s not greasy or too perfumey (is perfumey a word?!) and it is super light.

Basically it fits seamlessly into my routine already….and my hands, chapped from drywall work or sanding our latest project, are oh-so-happy to keep being busy.

And you know that they need to be soft to cuddle these little ones….because let’s face it, they are our greatest project yet :)
