Everyone always asks me if we are gonna try for number five. More specifically, everyone asks me if we are gonna try for a GIRL for number five. I try to keep things light (I mean…we don’t have control over what we have or do not have!) and usually I reply….why would I do that when I have such a great little boy wardrobe?!
Which is totally true by the way….the boys have a great little wardrobe and I love being able to purchase cute clothing and know that if it’s Will’s size that it will make it all the way down through all four boys. A lot of people ask me how I keep their clothing so clean….and make it last even with the mud fights and the food shears and the inevitable EVERYTHING that ends up on their clothing. Well…it’s the same way I keep the couch clean and the same way I washed the cloth diapers….I am diligent about using the right product….that product being Oxi-Clean.
At the risk of sounding like a full out commercial…I must tell you that I really do love this product. I have used it for a long time and will continue to buy it and use it for every load of laundry. That’s the long and the short of it.
And because I am such a fan of regular Oxi-Clean, when I was asked to try out their White Revive stain remover, I was really excited to give it a spin (get it?! spin?! spin cycle?! yeah…um…ok.)
I decided that round one of testing would be with a easy white load….our bath towels.
You should always add the powder first to the washer. Know that. Cheesy poses with the Oxi-Clean is totally optional.
Of course, I am not used to someone taking my photo during chore time so it was completely laughable.
In the end, I am really happy with the way the towels turned out. Even the hand towels that tend to be a little more dingy looking later were just as white and bright as the regular bath towels.
Then I decided to test it on round two….fresh stains. The back of the container said it would be no problem on food messes.
Well if someone asks for food messes….I can definitely deliver that. Or maybe I should say that Weston can deliver that
My little Munchkin can make a mess of clothing faster than you can say “red popsicles”. Seriously though…red popsicles are the worst. They stain hands and faces and shirts like CRAZY. And of course…Weston loves them.
This was a relatively fresh stain….it had dried on the shirt but was less than a few hours old when I stripped it off of him and decided to test out the White Revive.
Basically you just do a big bowl of warm water and a scoop of the Oxi-Clean.
It makes a fun fizzing cloud when they are mixed together.
Then you just pop in the shirt for 1-6 hours.
I decided to do the ‘dunk method’ to see if it was actually working and it definitely lightened after ten dunks.
I let this shirt soak for one hour while being fully submerged.
And when it came time to throw it in the wash….I was really excited. Two toned shirts like this are not bleach-able and so this might have been an epic stain.
After it was washed and dried, it was as good as new. Seriously I may have thrown the shirt at Jeremy and said WE FOUND A NEW BEST FRIEND.
But then came test number three….non fresh stains. You see…we have this issue with jammies. A lot of the boys jammies have colored necks and arms but the shirt itself is white. You can’t bleach those because it will mess up the colored bits…but they NEED a revival on the white bits.
These shirts literally have been in our laundry pile for weeks. I wait until the very last minute to tackle them because it means scrubbing by hand.
Well….I was ecstatic to try out the White Revive on them. I jammed them all down into one bowl and let them soak for four hours.
Seriously….this product = my new best friend. I love it. It delivered and I can skip the scrubbing! ***ANGELS SING***
Crazy huh? And because I know that there will be some doubters out there…let me tell you…don’t knock it until you rock it. Seriously. Just because this is a sponsored post…don’t let it deter you from the truth….which is this stuff really REALLY works. And just remember that I get all the credit when you try it and your kid’s are all like, hey mom, thanks for the new wardrobe! And you will be like, it’s not new….I just made all your clothes look like new….and then you high five and your kids bring you a juice box because you rock
